The three-day professional level workshop Risk assessment and management of collections is being offered 15th to the 17th of May 2013 at the Haute Ecole Arc, Conservation-restauration, Espace de l’Europe 11, 2000 Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
Taught by Prof. Dr. Robert Waller, President and Senior Risk Analyst, Protect Heritage Corp. and Adjunct Assistant Professor, Queen’s University, this course is designed around practical, hands-on exercises seamlessly integrated with a solid grounding in risk analysis theory. A practical exercise in a local museum is included.
Participants will receive a certificate of completion in addition to a participant manual and an electronic copy of Prof. Dr. R. Robert Waller’s 2003 Cultural Property Risk Analysis Model. PARTICIPANTS:
The course is designed for a wide audience such as: museum directors; managers; administrators; curators; collection managers; researchers; conservators; preparators; volunteers, and any stakeholder in collection preservation.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
The objective of this workshop is to provide participants with a sound methodology for assessing and managing risks to collections. It is based on the award winning Cultural Property Risk Analysis Model (CPRAM).
