International Conference EuroMed 2012

International Conference EuroMed 2012 dedicated to Cultural Heritage

Place/Lieu: Lemesos, Cyprus

Date: 29 October - 03 November, 2012

Description: The agenda of this conference will include hundreds of excellent oral and poster presentations, as well as workshops and demonstrations from academia and industry, reflecting the wide scope of our work in the area of cultural heritage
The ultimate aim of the 4th EuroMed conference will be to bring together as many stakeholders as possible from different backgrounds in order to achieve a high level of mutual understanding of the needs, the requirements and the technical means of meeting them. Therefore, the common goal is to focus on interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary research on tangible and intangible Cultural Heritage, the use of cutting edge technologies for the protection, preservation, conservation, massive digitalisation and visualization/presentation of the Cultural Heritage content (archeological sites, artifacts, monuments, libraries, archives, museums, etc). At the same time, the event is intended to cover topics of research ready for exploitation, demonstrating the acceptability of new sustainable approaches and new technologies by the user community, SME’s, owners, managers and conservators of cultural patrimony.
Those researchers who wish to participate in this event are invited to submit papers on original work addressing the following subjects or related themes in the following two categories:
1. Protection, Restoration, and Preservation of Tangible and Intangible cultural heritage.
2. Digital cultural heritage

Paper submissions:
Submissions for the event are completely electronic, and both the paper and all supplementary material must be submitted through the online submission website. The Symposium accepts only original, unpublished work written in English.
The 15 best submitted papers will be published on a special issue of the International Journal Heritage in the Digital Era http://www.digital-heritage-journal.eu/, published by MultiScience, UK http://www.multi-science.co.uk/ijhde.htm
