Conference: Saving Big Stuff in tight economic times

Conference Overview
Big Stuff is a unique triennial international meeting focused on the challenges and triumphs of conserving our large technology heritage. The meeting has been hosted in Canberra, Bochum, and Duxford; and in 2013 will be held in Ottawa.


The conference features three days of talks, workshops and discussions about the preservation of sites, oversized objects, machinery, and working technology in the context of their significance and interpretation. The meeting aims to bring together Conservation professionals, Curators, and those working in or interested in the heritage field; to share experiences and ideas, and encourage a consistent approach to preserving technological heritage.



Call for Papers:
The theme of the conference is: "Saving Big Stuff in tight economic times". Authors interested in presenting a paper, please submit an abstract (400-600 words) by March 31, 2013.


Poster abstracts should be submitted by June 30 2013 to: BigStuff2013@technomuses.ca
